Devotional Thoughts
Quote from Tim on March 31, 2020, 4:03 pmI was lead to Psalms Chapter 84 King James. The first thought that came to me was the definition of court in verse 2. (Psalms 84:1-12)
Psa 84:1 ....How amiable (loved) are thy tabernacles, O LORD of hosts!
Psa 84:2 My soul longeth, yea, even fainteth for the courts of the LORD: my heart and my flesh crieth out for the living God.The Hebrew word comes from a word meaning "properly to surround with a stockade, and thus separate from the open country;" and means "a yard (as inclosed by a fence); also a hamlet (as similarly surrounded with walls):"
Then I noticed that the word 'tabernacles' is not in singular but plural. The Hebrew root of this word means " through the idea of lodging; to reside or permanently stay" and is defined as "a residence (including a shepherds hut, the lair of animals, figuratively the grave; also the Temple); specifically the Tabernacle (properly its wooden walls):"
Could this possibly tie into the New Testament idea of our earthly bodies being the 'Temple' of the Holy Spirit?
